Tally AI: build a form from a typed prompt, free on every plan per Tally
Tally says Tally AI is free on every plan. Describe the form you want, or upload a screenshot, and it builds it. Here is what is included and what to check.

What it is
Tally is an online form builder. Tally AI is a chat box inside its editor. Tally's help page says you describe the form you need in plain language and it builds the questions, logic and structure. You can also upload a screenshot or PDF of an existing form and ask it to recreate it, edit a form by chat, and ask it to fix something that is not working.
Is it free?
Yes. Tally's Tally AI help page says it is "free on every plan, including the free plan", and "No upgrade or credit card required". Tally's pricing page says Tally gives unlimited forms and submissions for free within its fair usage guidelines, with no time limit on the free plan. Paid plans are for extras such as removing Tally branding, custom domains and more team features. The pricing page displays Pro at about Rs 2,300 ($24) per month, while Tally Pro help lists about Rs 2,780 ($29) per month or $290 per year. These are different displayed figures, not a confirmed Indian checkout quote. Rupee estimates use Wise's 95.747 INR per USD rate checked on 13 October 2026; taxes, card fees and billing terms may change the total. Tally does not say Tally AI needs Pro. The AI help page does not state a free-plan AI usage allowance, so do not read the unlimited forms/submissions claim as unlimited AI use.
What you can do with it
- Type something like "post-event feedback form with a 1-10 rating and a comment box" and get a ready form.
- Upload a screenshot or PDF to rebuild a paper or old form.
- Ask it to add fields, translate the form, set conditional logic or calculations, and apply your branding from a website address, screenshot or logo.
- Ask it why a rule or email notification is not working. Tally says it inspects the form and fixes it. You can undo its changes.
- It is opt-in. Tally says the editor works as before if you do not use it.
How to start
- In your Tally dashboard choose New form, then "Create with AI", and type your description.
- In an existing form, choose Ask AI or press Cmd+J, per Tally. Tally lists the Cmd shortcut only.
Privacy
- Tally says your forms and submissions are never used to train AI models.
- Tally says it is based in Belgium, follows GDPR and stores form data in Europe.
- Tally's GDPR page lists Google AI Studio as a service provider for "Abuse detection and AI assistant (opt-in)". We did not find a line that says exactly what is sent to it, so we are not saying more.
- AiCoN advice: if your form collects sensitive answers, such as health or ID details, ask Tally how the AI assistant handles them before turning it on, and keep real respondent data out of your AI prompts.
India
Tally's pages that we read name no country restrictions and do not mention India. We could not confirm India availability from an official page. Check that you can sign up and see Create with AI.

Do I need a paid plan for Tally AI?
No, per Tally: it is free on all plans, including free.
Can it work in Hindi or other languages?
Tally says it understands prompts in all languages and writes in the language of your prompt or the one you ask for. We did not test the quality.
Can I use Tally AI from ChatGPT or Claude?
Tally says it connects to Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP tools. We did not review those connections.
