Kerala PSC 162-173/2026: 12 categories, apply by 2 December

By AiCoN | Published 1 November 2026 | Sources checked 1 November 2026

Kerala PSC's Extraordinary Gazette dated 30 October 2026 carries category numbers 162/2026 to 173/2026, ten notification PDFs for 12 categories and 16 vacancies in total. Every one closes on Wednesday, 2 December 2026, up to 12 midnight. Applications are online only, through the candidate's PSC profile after One Time Registration, and all 12 categories say no application fee is required. Only category 162 is open to any eligible candidate. The other 11 are restricted by community, employer, ex-servicemen status or sex, so read your category before you apply.

The one open category

Laboratory Assistant (Dairy/CFP), Part I (General Category), Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (MILMA) - Category 162/2026. Statewide, 1 vacancy, pay ₹29,490-85,160. Age 18-44 (born between 2 January 1982 and 1 January 2008, both included, with the usual OBC and SC/ST relaxation). Qualification: B.Sc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Microbiology. The PDF says 4% of vacancies are reserved for persons with disabilities.

MILMA society employees only

Laboratory Assistant (Dairy/CFP), Part II (Society Category) - Category 163/2026. 2 vacancies, same pay and B.Sc requirement, age 18-50 (born between 2 January 1976 and 1 January 2008). It is only for regular employees of MILMA's member societies with three years of regular service, and the PDF says the application must carry a Service Certificate from the Assistant Registrar (General).

Cost and mistakes to avoid

The checked PDFs state that no application fee is required. A browsing centre's service charge is not an official fee, and no one can guarantee selection for money. The most common mistakes with an NCA notification are applying without belonging to the notified community (the PDFs say such applications will be rejected) and assuming One Time Registration alone counts as applying: you must submit the category application itself. The previous batch, categories 151-161, closes on 4 November 2026, so do not mix the two dates.

Frequently asked questions

The checked PDFs say no application fee is required.

When is the last date?

Wednesday, 2 December 2026, up to 12 midnight, for every category from 162 to 173.
