Kerala PSC 151-161/2026: 11 notifications, apply by 4 November

By AiCoN | Published 23 October 2026 | Sources checked 23 October 2026

Kerala PSC's Extraordinary Gazette dated 30 September 2026 carries 11 category numbers, 151/2026 to 161/2026, and every one of them closes for applications on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, up to 12 midnight. Applications are online only, through the candidate's PSC profile after One Time Registration, and the checked notification PDFs say no application fee is required. Only two of the 11 are general recruitment open to any eligible candidate; the rest are special recruitment, NCA (community-restricted) or by-transfer notifications, so read the category before you apply.

The two general-recruitment posts

Draftsman Grade II, Kerala Ports Service (Hydrographic Survey Wing) - Category 151/2026. Statewide general recruitment, 2 vacancies, pay Rs 31,100-66,800. Age 18-40 (born between 2 January 1986 and 1 January 2008, both dates included, with the usual SC/ST/OBC relaxation). The qualification is SSLC plus a Survey Recorder Class II qualification of the Indian Navy's Hydrographic Survey Branch or a Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Forest Boat Driver (Part I - Direct Recruitment), Forest and Wildlife - Category 153/2026. District-wise general recruitment: 2 vacancies in Thrissur and 1 in Kozhikkode, pay Rs 26,500-60,700. Age 18-50 (born between 2 January 1976 and 1 January 2008). The notification needs SSLC, a valid motor boat driving licence, at least three years' experience as a boat driver, basic knowledge of motor boat engine mechanism, and the ability to swim. It explicitly says women candidates and differently-abled candidates are not eligible for this post.

Teaching posts for reserved communities

Higher Secondary School Teacher - Statistics (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Tribe only) - Category 155/2026. Two vacancies, pay Rs 55,200-1,15,300, age 20-49 (born between 2 January 1977 and 1 January 2006). The qualification is a Master's degree in Statistics with at least 45% marks plus B.Ed. Applications from candidates other than Scheduled Tribe will be rejected.

Higher Secondary School Teacher (Junior) Arabic - Categories 157/2026 and 158/2026. This is a seventh NCA notification for SC and ST candidates: 4 vacancies for SC (category 157) and 1 for ST (category 158), pay Rs 45,600-95,600, age 20-49. "Junior" means the part-time HSST post. The qualification is a Master's in Arabic with at least 45% marks plus B.Ed.

The other restricted notifications

Police Constable Driver / Woman Police Constable Driver, Kerala Police - Category 159/2026. First NCA notification open only to LC/AI community candidates: 2 vacancies, pay Rs 31,100-66,800, age 20-35 (born between 2 January 1991 and 1 January 2006). Needs Plus Two, a current valid driving licence covering motorcycle with gear, light motor vehicles, heavy passenger vehicles and heavy goods vehicles with a driver's badge, plus physical standards and a driving proficiency test. Differently-abled candidates are not eligible for this post.

Draftsman Grade II / Town Planning Surveyor Grade II, LSG Department (Group IV Planning Wing) - Category 156/2026. Special recruitment for SC/ST candidates: 1 vacancy, pay Rs 31,100-66,800, age 18-45 (born between 2 January 1981 and 1 January 2008). Needs SSLC plus a two-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Women's Polytechnic or a recognised equivalent.

Peon/Watchman, KSFE Limited - Categories 152/2026, 160/2026 and 161/2026. These are direct recruitment only from among part-time employees of Kerala State Financial Enterprises: category 152 lists 55 vacancies (pay Rs 24,500-42,900), while 160 (fourth NCA) and 161 (eighth NCA) are each for one ST vacancy. They matter only if you already work part-time at KSFE.

Forest Boat Driver (Part II - By Transfer) - Category 154/2026. The by-transfer stream of the same Forest Boat Driver post, for eligible existing employees, not fresh applicants.

How to apply

  5. Save the application from My Applications and watch for exam-confirmation messages if a test is announced.

Cost and mistakes to avoid

The checked notification PDFs state that no application fee is required. A browsing centre's service charge is not an official fee, and no one can guarantee selection for money.

The most common mistakes with this gazette: applying to an NCA or special-recruitment category without belonging to the notified community (the PDFs say such applications will be rejected), treating the 55-vacancy KSFE Peon/Watchman notification as open to the public when it is only for KSFE's part-time employees, and assuming One Time Registration alone counts as applying - you must submit the category application itself. Kerala PSC's previous gazette batch, categories 130-150, closed on 7 October 2026; do not mix the two groups' dates.
