Kerala minority scholarship for IIT, IIM, IISc and IMSc PG students 2026-27: ₹50,000, apply by 30 November

Kerala's Minority Welfare Department gives ₹50,000 a year to Kerala-native minority students doing postgraduate study at IITs, IIMs, IISc Bangalore or the integrated PhD at IMSc Chennai. The online window closes on 30 November 2026.

We did not register, log in or open the application form, so we cannot say how the form behaves. Nothing was submitted or paid.

Who can apply (from the guidelines)

Muslim, Christian (all sects), Sikh, Buddhist, Jain or Parsi, and a native of Kerala.
Studying or admitted in a postgraduate programme at an IIM or IIT anywhere in India, IISc Bangalore, or the integrated PhD programme at IMSc Chennai.
At least 55% marks in the degree, B.E, B.Tech or pre-qualifying exam.
Parent or guardian income up to ₹8 lakh a year. Priority goes to BPL students and women, and 50% of the scholarships are reserved for women (unused slots can go to men).
Students already getting another scholarship or fellowship are not eligible.

What it pays

₹50,000 per student for an academic year.

How to apply and key dates

Register at mwdscholarship.kerala.gov.in, fill the profile, choose "Apply For Scholarship" and upload the photo, signature, SSLC certificate, income certificate, bank passbook, ID card and degree certificates and mark sheets. Keep proof of admission (admission card, fee receipt, ID card), nativity, community or minority certificate, Aadhaar, passbook and ration card copies for the hard copy.

The portal lists the scheme as opening on 5 November 2026 at 10:00.
