Kerala APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship 2026-27: ₹6,000 for minority polytechnic students, apply by 25 November
Scoped recheck 24 October 2026: current English and Malayalam guidelines and public portal schedule compared. Corrected second/third-year inclusion, previous-recipient limit and institution-deadline wording. Public table displays 25 November 2026 at 23:59:59; registration/login links exist, but no student account or scheme form tested. Historical emblem-bearing menu screenshot removed; emblem-free application-instructions capture retained.
The Kerala Directorate of Minority Welfare is taking applications for the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Scholarship 2026-27: ₹6,000 for eligible minority-community students in a three-year polytechnic diploma. The current English guidelines say second- and third-year students are also considered, not that only those years can apply. The notice is dated 12 October 2026. The online last date is 25 November 2026.

At a glance
- Amount: ₹6,000, one time only
- Who: permanent Kerala residents from the Muslim, Christian (all denominations), Sikh, Buddhist, Jain or Parsi communities
- Course: three-year diploma in a government, aided or government-approved self-financing polytechnic in Kerala, admitted on merit seat. Second- and third-year students are also considered; the guidelines do not restrict the scheme to those years
- Online last date: 25 November 2026. The public Guidelines table currently displays 23:59:59; do not wait until the final minute.
Eligibility
- Families below the poverty line (BPL) get preference. If there are no BPL applicants, APL families with annual income up to ₹8 lakh are considered
- 30% of scholarships are reserved for girls. If there are not enough eligible girls, eligible boys can be considered
- The student needs a bank account in their own name in a scheduled commercial bank
The public Guidelines table and Student Registration/Login links were reachable on 24 October. This verifies the displayed schedule and entry links, not a successful scheme application inside a student account.
