Scoped recheck 24 October 2026: pricing toggles, credit rules and current terms/privacy compared. New web welcome75 vs daily25 clarified, stale INR conversion removed, AI-provider sharing/optout and retention limits corrected. Current /tos inspected after older tos.html fetch wording differed. No account, file upload, analysis, subscription, optout or deletion tested.

What it is
Julius is a website where you upload a spreadsheet or data file, such as Excel or CSV, and ask questions in plain English. Julius says it can analyze data, run analyses, draw charts and give answers with citations. Its pricing page says it can also create reports, presentations and websites.
Is it free
Yes, with a daily limit. Julius lists a Free plan with daily refresh credits. Its current credits page says eligible new web accounts receive 75 one-time welcome credits plus 25 daily Free credits, making 100 initially available before usage. Older accounts are not automatically topped up. Welcome credits have no scheduled expiry but remaining welcome credits expire when a paid-subscription grant is issued. Other signup routes need their own confirmation. A simple message costs fewer credits than a full analysis, so a big task can use up a day's credits quickly. The actual pricing toggle shows Plus US$20 on Monthly and US$16 per month equivalent on Annual. Monthly Plus includes 2,000 purchased credits; annual Plus grants 24,000 upfront for its term. Confirm the full annual charge, taxes and local checkout price before payment; no INR estimate or checkout was verified.
How to try it
- Go to julius.ai and sign up free.
- Upload a small spreadsheet or CSV file.
- Ask a question, for example "Which month had the highest sales?"
- Read the answer and the chart. Check a few numbers by hand.
Check your data first
Use a copy of the file. Remove names, account numbers and other private fields, label each column and keep units clear. Ask Julius which rows it used and how it handled blanks. Compare totals against your spreadsheet before trusting a chart.
Limits to know
- Daily Free credits reset at 00:00 UTC (05:30 India time), expire at the next UTC midnight and do not accumulate. Usage takes daily credits before regular balance. Paid accounts get 100 daily credits separately. Purchased credits expire at their monthly or annual term end without rollover; annual credits last across the months of that term. Check the actual grant and account usage, not a message-count promise.
- Julius changed from a message limit to a credit system in 2026. An older Julius page still mentions 5 messages a month, so check the current limit in your account.
- The current privacy help, 21 October Privacy Policy and 20 October Terms of Service permit sharing prompts, files and outputs with AI technology providers to evaluate, develop and improve models. The policy says personal information is not used to train Julius's own models; that is not a blanket no-training promise for providers. The policy gives an optout by emailing privacy@julius.ai. Confirm its scope before uploading, rather than assuming it is already applied. Avoid Aadhaar, bank, health, client or other sensitive records.
- Account deletion is permanent and support cannot restore it, but not every backup or legally retained record is immediately erased. The policy allows service/business/legal retention and gives no fixed backup-deletion deadline. Keep your own exports; Plus pricing lists only 7-day file storage. Ask for a written retention commitment if that matters.
- AI can get calculations wrong. Check important numbers yourself.
- We found no official page on availability in India, and no restriction either.
- We did not test it ourselves.
