Jio offer: 12 months of Canva Pro free with a Rs 399 recharge

What it is
Jio is giving eligible prepaid customers 12 months of Canva Pro or Canva Pro Lite at no extra charge. Jio's offer page says Canva Pro includes 2M+ designer-made templates, 140M+ premium photos, videos and elements, a background remover, Magic Resize and Magic Eraser, brand kits, 100GB of storage, and "10x more AI usage than Canva Free", including Canva AI, Magic Write and Magic Media. Pro Lite has the premium content, background remover, Magic Resize, Magic Eraser, 3 brand kits and 50GB of storage. Jio's Pro Lite benefits list does not specify the same AI allowance as Pro. Do not assume Lite has no AI at all, or that it has the advertised Pro limits. Canva's AI terms say usage limits can change and some features vary by country or language.
Is it free
Yes for the Canva subscription, but you must recharge a qualifying Jio plan. Jio's page says a recharge of ₹399 on or after 16 September 2026 gives 12 months of Canva Pro (worth ₹4,000), and a ₹349 plan, or any 2 GB/day plan above ₹349, gives 12 months of Canva Pro Lite (worth ₹1,590). You must keep an active qualifying Jio 5G plan for the whole period, so this is not a promise that one Rs 399 payment covers a year of phone service. Do not buy a recharge just for this article: check your own MyJio banner, exact plan and account eligibility first. The public FAQ also mentions select add-on plans for Lite without identifying them here. Jio's terms say the subscription does not auto-renew: at the end of the 12 months your account reverts to the free Canva tier. That no-renewal rule applies to this promotion, not a paid upgrade you choose separately. We did not verify whether payment details are requested in the actual activation flow.
Who qualifies
Jio's terms say the offer is for Jio retail prepaid users, only for people who have never held a paid Canva subscription of any tier, on a personal Canva account or a team account with one user. You can redeem it once in your lifetime. It cannot be switched between Pro and Pro Lite after you claim.
The public FAQ describes one claim per unique mobile number, while the terms impose one redemption per eligible subscriber for life. Do not read the mobile-number wording as permission to claim again with another SIM. The terms also make benefits non-transferable and bar combining them with other promotions unless expressly allowed. Deleting the activation email account is listed as a reason Canva may cancel access; keep access to the account used to activate.
Deadline
Jio's terms say the offer started on 16 September 2026 and stays valid for 12 months from that date, or another period Jio decides.
India availability and suspension
This is a Jio India retail prepaid mobile promotion, not a free worldwide Canva Pro plan or a Jio postpaid offer. Public pages loaded, but we did not check eligibility in an individual MyJio or Canva account. If your recharge changes to an ineligible plan, access may be suspended or cancelled without extending the trial. Porting out or losing the active Jio number may suspend it; no new redemption is available after porting out. Switching to a paid Canva subscription cancels this trial.
How to claim it
- First check the current official offer and whether you have ever paid for Canva. If eligible, use the qualifying recharge and sign in to MyJio. The recharge costs money; we have not purchased one.
- Tap the Canva offer banner and inspect the displayed tier before claiming. Pro and Pro Lite cannot be swapped under this offer once claimed.
- Continue to the official Canva activation page. Choose the personal Canva account or eligible one-user team account you intend to use. Read the activation terms and check the price, tier and trial end date before confirming. Use that same account afterwards.
Limits and privacy to know
Canva Shield advertises AI-output indemnification only for eligible Canva Enterprise customers. This Jio offer is Pro or Pro Lite, so do not assume it includes that Enterprise protection. Canva's AI terms also prohibit removing or disabling AI provenance/metadata such as C2PA, and warn that usage limits are operational controls rather than fixed entitlements. A promotional subscription does not remove these content and usage rules.
- Jio can change or withdraw the offer and its eligibility rules at any time. The plan tier you get depends on your recharge at the time of claiming, shown in MyJio.
- Jio says it may contact you about this offer for promotion and updates, and that your personal data is handled under its Privacy Policy.
- The Canva service is provided by Canva under Canva's Terms of Use. Jio's terms say Canva can cancel or revoke it under those terms.
- Canva's current AI Product Terms say inputs may be shared with technology partners to provide features. Privacy Settings control whether Canva and those partners can use data to improve AI services. Its Canva Shield page says you control training on private content. Check these settings before use; we did not verify the default for the Jio account or audit full retention/deletion rules. Avoid private IDs, client secrets and sensitive work.
- Use only uploads you own or have permission to use. Canva library assets remain subject to their licences; AI outputs may not be unique or accurate. Do not assume Pro makes every asset or output safe for any commercial use.
- We did not log into MyJio or Canva, purchase a recharge, claim the offer, upload a design, generate content or test exports and cancellation.
Frequently asked questions
Is Canva Pro free with Jio?
Yes, for 12 months with a ₹399 Jio prepaid recharge on or after 16 September 2026. A ₹349 plan gets Canva Pro Lite. You must keep the plan active, and it does not auto-renew.
Does cancelling a previous paid Canva plan make me eligible?
The Jio terms say you must never have held a paid Canva subscription of any tier. Merely cancelling an old paid plan does not satisfy that rule. We did not test how Canva checks history.
Does the claim period equal my subscription period?
No. The offer period starts on 16 September 2026 and lasts 12 months unless changed. Your trial starts when you claim and activate the Canva account. Jio can change or withdraw the offer, so verify the current dates at claim time.
Can I switch from Pro Lite to Pro for free later?
No. The claimed tier cannot be switched under this offer. A separate paid upgrade is possible under Canva's terms, but cancels the free trial.
