GitHub Student Developer Pack: free Copilot, Pro account, domain and credits for students

By AiCoN | Published 19 October 2026 | Sources checked 19 October 2026

The GitHub Student Developer Pack gives verified students free access to professional developer tools that normally cost money: GitHub Copilot Student, a free GitHub Pro account, a free .me domain for a year, Heroku credits of $13 a month for 24 months, Microsoft Azure with no credit card, MongoDB Atlas credits, three months of DataCamp and more. If you are 13 or older and enrolled in a degree or diploma course, you can apply free.

Good to knowYou need a school-issued email address and/or official, dated proof of enrollment (GitHub lists both on its students page). Approval is not instant - GitHub reviews your proof, which can take days. Offers come from GitHub and its partners, and each partner's terms apply; the list changes, so check the pack page for the current offers before you count on one.
