Figma for Education free for students: Professional tier with education verification
Figma, the collaborative design tool used by product teams worldwide, says on its education page that Figma and FigJam are "100% free for students, educators and schools", with "no freemium or hidden upgrades, ever". Verified students and educators get the Professional tier free, K-12 school districts can get the Enterprise tier free, and there is no deadline - it is an ongoing programme.
Good to knowYou need to be 13 or older and part of a structured classroom (school, university, trade school, online course, bootcamp or academy) to apply on your own. Figma verifies your education status during signup and can re-check it later. Children under 13 get access only when their school signs up for the free Enterprise tier. Figma's education page also says eligible education users get "full access to Figma's AI toolkit, including Figma Make and AI-powered tools on the canvas".

- Students and educators aged 13 or older in a structured classroom
- Classrooms can be virtual or in-person: Figma lists schools, universities, trade schools, online courses, bootcamps and academies as examples
