FASTag Annual Pass: ₹3,075, eligibility and toll limits
The FASTag Annual Pass can lower costs for frequent highway travel. It is a paid pass with a crossing limit, not free travel on every toll road.

What does the pass cover?
The official terms allow up to 200 eligible toll-plaza crossings or 12 months from activation, whichever comes first. The FY2026-27 price is ₹3,075. It links to an eligible existing FASTag, so a new tag is not required just for the pass.
Coverage is limited to eligible NHAI-operated National Highway and Expressway plazas listed in the official app or website. Do not assume every state road, private toll facility or expressway is included just because it takes FASTag payments.
Who is eligible?
The terms require a non-commercial vehicle, valid Registration Certificate and a working FASTag mapped to the registration number and affixed to the windscreen. The official FAQ describes private car, jeep and van eligibility. Check your exact vehicle through the portal.
Blacklisted, hotlisted or unattached tags are ineligible. Current terms also exclude Paytm FASTags. The pass stays tied to its original vehicle registration number. Commercial use, moving it to another vehicle or false details can lead to deactivation without refund.
How to apply
- Open the official Rajmargyatra Annual Pass page or app. Avoid unofficial sellers offering special discounts.
- Check eligible plazas on your usual route, including the return journey.
- Enter registration details and submit the requested vehicle image or documents for eligibility.
- Confirm the vehicle and linked tag are correct. Fix registration or tag problems first.
- Review the current price and terms. Pay only after eligibility is confirmed.
- Keep the receipt and verify activation before expecting pass benefits.
NHAI's March 2026 announcement says activation occurs within two hours after payment. If payment or activation fails, use official support rather than immediately making duplicate payments.
How crossings are counted
One-way passage through a plaza counts once. Returning through the same plaza counts again, so that round trip uses two crossings. In a closed toll system, a valid entry-exit pair counts once. A journey through several open-system plazas uses several crossings; 200 crossings does not necessarily mean 200 complete trips.
After expiry or exhaustion, the tag works normally without pass benefits. Keep its ordinary account ready for ineligible tolls. Unused crossings do not carry over or become a refund.
Is it worth it for Kerala travel?
List the eligible plazas you really use and estimate normal toll spend over the next year. Compare it with ₹3,075, allowing for the crossing limit. Frequent eligible highway travel may justify the pass; rare trips or mainly excluded routes may not.
Once issued or activated, it is non-refundable and non-cancellable. A limited exception covers successful payment where a technical or system error prevents issue. Check your route before paying.
What changed since the original AiCoN post?
The original already used ₹3,075. This guide confirms the current FY2026-27 price and adds crossing definitions, exclusions and refund limits. Older ₹3,000 information belongs to the earlier period; the revision took effect on 1 April 2026.
