Cyber Security Awareness Quiz 2026: official prizes, rules and entry-status caveat

By AiCoN | Published 20 October 2026 | Sources checked 20 October 2026 | Scoped recheck 24 October 2026

The official MyGov page describes DSCI’s Cyber Security Awareness Quiz, themed Be Cyber Street Smart, with 10 questions in 300 seconds. Its terms list five prizes of Rs 4,000 with winner certificates and an e-certificate for participants, with winners randomly drawn from eligible full-score entries. The displayed end date is 15 November 2026, 11:45 PM IST. Availability rechecked 24 October 2026: the browser showed login controls, while the fetched page said Closed. Actual entry availability is unverified. Eligibility for Indian citizens does not establish that entries are open. We did not log in, play or test certificate delivery.

Good to knowWinners are picked by a system-generated random draw, not by rank or speed alone: everyone who answers all questions correctly within the time limit goes into a central pool, and the winners are selected from it through an automated random selection. One attempt per participant - multiple entries are not accepted. DSCI disburses the prize money and certificates after the winner announcement blog is published on blog.mygov.in.

About the campaign

Cyber Security Awareness Month (CSAM) is observed globally every October. India's 2026 theme, "Be Cyber Street Smart", uses the Kathputli puppetry storytelling tradition to turn cyber safety lessons into familiar everyday situations. DSCI runs the campaign with CERT-In, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as partners.
