What is the competition?
As part of Adoption Awareness Month 2026, CARA and MyGov launched the Poster Making Competition. The aim is to raise awareness that direct and illegal adoptions bypass the safeguards in the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, as amended in 2021. The page lists informal routes such as hospitals and nursing homes, unregistered childcare arrangements, middlemen or online platforms, and roadside abandonment followed by informal custody.
