Adobe Premiere mobile: a free video editor with AI tools
Adobe Premiere on mobile is a phone video editor with some AI tools. Adobe says the app is free to use.
What it is
Adobe Premiere on mobile is a video editing app for phones. Adobe's pages describe a multi-track timeline, frame-accurate editing, templates and 4K export. The AI parts are Enhance Audio, which reduces background noise, and Firefly-powered tools such as Generative Fill, Image-to-Video and Generate Sound Effects.
Is it free
Mostly yes. Adobe's India page says the app is free to download and use, with no watermark on exports. You only pay if you want extra generative AI credits or more storage. Adobe says generative credits are for iOS only for now. We quote no prices.
Where and on what
- iPhone: Adobe's help page lists India among the countries where Premiere on iPhone can be used.
- Android: Adobe's 22 September 2026 announcement says the app is on Google Play for Android 13 or later with at least 5 GB of RAM. Adobe's India page says it is available on iOS and Android, but we did not find an Android country list, so check the Play Store.
How to start
- Install Premiere from the App Store or Google Play.
- Start a project and add your clips.
- Try Enhance Audio on a noisy clip.
- Export your video.
Limits to know
- Some features differ between iPhone and Android, per Adobe.
- Generative AI features use credits, available through paid subscriptions or included in some Creative Cloud plans. Adobe’s India page says these credits are currently iOS-only, while its Android announcement also lists generative tools. Check your version rather than assuming feature parity.
- Adobe lists enhanced captions and other tools as coming soon in its Android announcement, so do not count on them yet.
- We did not test the app ourselves.
